HNI 0094

The beginning of a river.

A river is a of body of water that runs through the village. They cascade down from waterfall on one end of town and end with another waterfall that flows into the ocean. Rivers also contain a river pool, a sort of lake formation (explained in more detail below). Because rivers can restrict access to certain areas of the player's town, bridges can be built to travel across them.

River Pond[]

HNI 0095

A river pool/lake.

Within the twists and turns of the river, there is a section where the river widens into a sort of rounded lake-like formation. These sections are known as river ponds (not to be confused with holding ponds), also simply called lakes. In these bodies of water, not only are there regular river fish available to catch, there are also "pond" exclusive fish in them. The exclusive pond fish are more difficult to catch, as the fishing pole does not reach very far. Fish like catfish and giant snakeheads can be caught in this part of the river.
